Link fill-in is built into the Add to Wishlist page on the GiftCrew website and in the Android app, so it works on your computer and on your phone, including on iPhone.
Copy the Link
On a shop’s website, copy the address from your browser’s address bar. In a shop’s app, tap Share and copy the link. If the shared message includes extra text, like the product name or a short pitch, that’s fine: paste the whole thing and GiftCrew finds the link inside it.
Paste It Into “Fill in from a link”
Open Add to Wishlist in GiftCrew and paste the link into the Fill in from a link box at the top. Where your browser allows it, you can tap the paste icon instead of pasting by hand. Pasting a link into the name field works too.
Check What GiftCrew Filled In
GiftCrew reads the product page and fills in the name, description and up to two photos, with the shop’s most representative photo first, and adds the link. It only fills fields that are empty, so anything you typed before pasting is kept. Look over the details, change anything you like, and tap Create Item.
2Install the Browser Extension
On a computer, the GiftCrew – Add to Wishlist extension lets you add a product straight from the page you’re on, without copying anything. It’s free and works in Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Firefox and Safari on Mac.
Add It to Your Browser
Open the extension page and choose your browser. Brave and Opera use the Chrome version. If the GiftCrew button isn’t in your toolbar after installing, open your browser’s extensions menu and pin it there, so it’s always one click away.
Connect It Once
Click the GiftCrew button and choose Connect GiftCrew. GiftCrew opens in a new tab and shows the account you’re signed in with; click Connect this browser and it takes you back to the shop. If you’re not signed in yet, sign in with Google or email, or create a free account, first. You only do this once, and you can disconnect any time from the extension’s account menu.
3Add a Gift With the Extension
Click GiftCrew on a Product Page
Open the product you want and click the GiftCrew button, or press Alt+Shift+G. A panel opens with the product’s name, description and photos. The extension reads a page only when you click the button or use the shortcut, and only that tab.
Choose Photos and Where It Goes
Pick up to two photos; the first one you choose becomes the main photo. Edit the name or description if you like, then choose where the item goes: your own wishlist, or an event wishlist where you’re one of the people being celebrated.
Add It and Check Your List
Click Add to wishlist, then View in GiftCrew to see the item on your list. If the product is already on your wishlist, the extension tells you, so you don’t add it twice.
4Tips for Better Wishlist Items
Choose Photos That Help Gift-Givers
Make the main photo a clear shot of the product itself, and use the second one for a detail or the product in use. With link fill-in, GiftCrew picks the photos for you, but you can remove them and upload your own before you create the item.
Edit Before You Save
Shop descriptions are often long and full of marketing copy. Trim them to what matters and add the size, color or model you want, so nobody has to guess. On Add to Wishlist, the name and description each have a one-tap Clear (with Undo) for when you’d rather start fresh.
Use It for Event Wishlists
Getting married or expecting a baby? If you’re one of the honorees of an event, you can fill the shared event wishlist the same way: paste a link on Add to Event Wishlist, or choose the event in the extension before you add. Learn more about event wishlists.
When a Shop Blocks Reading
Some shops block automated reading. When that happens, GiftCrew still adds the link and fills in the name from it, and you add photos yourself. On a computer, the browser extension works on these shops too, because it reads the page you already have open.

Can I add gifts from any online shop?
You can add a gift from any shop by pasting its link. GiftCrew fills in the details on most online shops, from big marketplaces to small independent stores. On shops that block automated reading, it adds the link and a name taken from it, and you add photos yourself, or you can use the browser extension, which works there too.
Does the browser extension work on my phone?
No. The extension is for desktop browsers: Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Firefox and Safari on Mac. On your phone, paste the product link on Add to Wishlist on the GiftCrew website or in the Android app instead.
Will pasting a link replace what I already typed?
No. Link fill-in only fills fields that are empty, so anything you typed is kept. Everything stays editable afterwards, so you can change the name, description and photos before you create the item.
Is the GiftCrew browser extension free?
Yes, the extension is free, and so is link fill-in. The gifts you add count toward your wishlist, which holds up to 5 items on Free and up to 50 on Pro.
Does the extension see my browsing?
No. It reads a page only when you click the GiftCrew button or press Alt+Shift+G, and only that tab. It doesn’t track your browsing and only sends GiftCrew the product details you choose to save.
